Can non registered visitors buy products?

Hello,

I'm using nopCommerce 3.90 with source.

I always thought that a non registered visitor to a nopCommerce website was able to put products into a cart and buy them.

When I test it on my website by logging out, I can view all the products, but the Add to cart button is not available.

I searched every setting I can think of and could not find any setting related to that feature.

Is there a setting in nopCommerce to allow non registered visitors to buy products?

Thanks,
Tony

I found this setting in the Order Settings: Anonymous checkout allowed, to enable customers to purchase products without registration/logging in.

I'm still puzzled because I dohave that setting checked.

By default this setting should enable the guest/anon user to be able to order.
Did you change any of the source code of your installation?
Did you upgrade from a lower version von NopCommerce to the 3.9 version?
Have you checked all configurations under `Configuration => Settings => All Settings`? (search there for `anonymous`)

Don't think that there is any configuration beside the one you mentioned to disallow guests from ordering.

Chris,

Thanks for your help.

I have not changed any source code.

I did upgrade from 3.80, but that was about ten months ago.

I did check all of those 'anonymous' settings.

I did a clear cache and a restart application.

I unchecked the Anonymous checkout allowed, to enable customers to purchase products without registration/logging in and rechecked it again.

I looked at many Showcase sites and they all allow Add to cart without registering.

I tried it in other browsers and on other computers.

This is a real puzzle.  I don't know what else to do.

Thanks,
Tony

Check the Admin > Configuration Access Control List:
  Public store. Enable shopping cart

Fredrik,

Thank you very much.  I will definitely keep an eye on that.

Even though you are in Norway, I still wish you a Happy Thanksgiving ! ! !
