Can't login

After installing nop 4.0 on my local machine (with little problems). Try now to login but it's not working. I get no error no nothing. I'm always directed to the login page.

Has somebody an idea?

Have you yet gone through the "installer" (set up DB, etc.)?

Can you use SSMS (or similar SQL tool) to see if any errors in the Log table?

I can see all the tables by the management tool of MS SQL (the  db is local too) the log table has no entries (only: "Application started"). I changed the password in the table too but nothing works...

Add:

After the (try off a) login I find the cookies "nop.authetication" and "nop.antiforgery" in addition to "nop.customer" too. So I think it's not a problem of the login procedure and the database.

Have you check ACL rules?
Might be there is problem with your installation.

ACL: What I've to look for? Where it can be wrong?
