I´m looking after a NopCommerce site.
It was running very quick and responsive when I set it up.
Now after about 2 years it loads very slowly, has nothing to do with keep alive, not only the first request is slow.
You can click around if you want to see it yourself: https://aquarius.li.

The hosting environment didn´t change, still the same server and database.
It´s running on a dedicated server at AWS and uses Cloudflare as CDN. IIS is on version 8.5 and NopCommerce on version 3.80.

The site speed is good on my development machine.

I would appreciate any suggestions about how to solve this.

Check System > Log for unusual errors.  Then, if many entries, delete old stuff (or better, TRUNCATE the Log table in SSMS if you can).

Delete Guest users.  (Is your sched task enabled?)

I have similar issue before. Mi may case it turn out the database log fie was triple size than database itself. If it same case you just need to shrink it.

Seems to be an AWS specific problem. I think the RDS DB had to little IOPS credits, which resulted in very poor DB performance. I increased the storage capacity and now it runs smooth again.

I have got a similar issue, nopCommerce 4.0, takes almost a minute sometimes to load the home page. And then after a few minute of inactivity it also lags to load any page. Any advice to improve the load time I will be really helpful.
