I've setup a second store but the products seem to not filter on the store option.  Is there something I need to change to isolate which store the products apply to?

Thanks!

You can assign products per store. I mean when you create/edit a product from admin panel, you can assign store then search by store will work as expected.

If you assigned products to specified stores, please remember about changing the "Ignore "limit per store" rule" setting. Go to Admin panel -> Configuration -> Settings -> Catalog settings -> Performance and leave it unchecked.

Thanks.  I found the problem.  I did not have the limit to store flag set.  I ran some sql to set them all to limit per store.

Well, I set the flag to limit the products to a specific store but now they are not showing on any store.  If I turn off the flag they are showing up it both store.  How do I have it so that it shows products and categories in the appropriate store but not the other one?  they are set to limit it to a specific store but seems like the flag for ignoring the limit isn't saved to the appropriate store.  At least I don't see any checkboxes next to the setting that will save that setting to the specific store settings.  It seems to be a global setting.

As it turns out I fixed it.  Didn't have the product/category mapping in place.  I sqled it in to quickly map all products to the appropriate store and the issue is fixed now.
