1. Please provide link to download your original pictures?
2. What picture do you resize to?

Hi Andrei,
thx for answer. Here is google insight report https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=pl&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.godstoys.pl%2F&tab=desktop

1. nopCommerce version = 4.0 (Azure hosting)
2. Expected behavior = don't change compression (we do it on our computer)
3. Actual behavior = we upload image with size 120 kb and "something" happen after upload this file and file size is increased to 300-400 kb...
4. Steps to reproduce the problem.  (below)
5. Any private modifications you made to your nopCommerce:
We use Nop-Templates Theme and their plugins. All customizations is css, and don't think we change something important. But their Theme "change" pictures size when we install theme... but... if this is their bug. Now, after all instalation, all uploaded picture should be ok... but it's still increased...
6. Our multimedia settings i write on top.

STEPS:
1. We go to anywhere sliders (but when we add product pictures is a same situation).
2. Upload photo.
3. Something is wrong, and picture size has been increased from 120 kb to 350 kb (for example)... When we look to google insight we see all our photo have ruined compressions.

For example: https://www.godstoys.pl/images/thumbs/0008620_skarbonka-deadpool_635.jpeg (this is picture 635 x 635 px and have size 160 kb but original picture 2000 px x 2000 px have size 190 px (still big but we don't want lose quality).

I upload here all deadpool bank photo + "slide picture" and background "topics".

I hope you help us with this. :/ our page is really slow now (after turn on SSL is little dramatic :( Google insight show we can reduce picture size 13 mb (90%) :///

Hello. I tried to reproduce this issue with your images, but I couldn't, on the clean installation of nopCommerce this issue doesn't happen. Can you send me your code and database backup (by PM)?

Hi! i check this in our local test page, and azure host... Something wrong happen after we upgrade page on Azure hosting :/ On local settings file size are ok.

But don't know what wrong we do on azure :/ Maybe you can send to me PW  link to any nop-page 4.0 with hosting on azure? Maybe this is problem only with this hosting?
Or maybe it's somewhere tutorial for azure upgrades? maybe we don't check something in azure panel so our images hs increased size?

Hi. Ok. False flag. I miss one setting on local server. (we have there 80% quality). After change this into 100% and upload graphic, again size is increased. From 64 kb to 220 kb:/

Good i understand?
Multimedia Settings: DefaultImageQuality: 100 = nopcommerce take original quality uploaded file?
Ok. This is not problem or error, this is a standard behavior of components which we use for resizing images, if you set 100 into the "Default image quality" parameter it is not the same as 100%, this is jpeg compression level. If your image file had already compressed and you set "Default image quality" parameter to 100 your uploaded image will uncompress, thet's why you have problem with size. Just use our default falue of "Default image quality" parameter (80)

Hi,
and 80% = "normal size of file" (original)? :)

I change to 80% and clisk "save" that's all?
This is not percent, this is compression level, and yes it almost original quality. After save you must delete all thumbs file manually.

Yes. It's works.

Maybe good idea is add there hint with information 80 not 100 is "original picture size". :)

Thx for help!
