In our webshop we are often requested to ship an order by a certain date, or another reason we place an order on hold when we are awaiting some goods missing from it. These holds usually take some days and we are keeping their slips on our desktop (physical desk) just not to forget to process them when the condition we are waiting for comes true. In the system these orders look now unprocessed which confuses us often.
To make these waiting orders distinguishable from the usual new orders ready for processing we would welcome an order ON HOLD status, that would allow us to handle these orders in time without offline manual reminders but separately form the regular orders.
It would be also a benefit that the customer could see his order was put deliberately ON HOLD and not just left unprocessed neglectfully as it looks now.
