How Order processing works in nop

Hi,

Can you please guide me how Order processing works in NOP.
I am using NOP 4.0 version. Let's suppose i am buying a product and placed order. As this is in development phase, so i am doing payment through dummy credit card credentials. After adding that card detail, order processing working on fine but when i am checking in Admin panel, Order Payment status is still 'Pending'.
I am manually changing its Status to 'Paid'.
I am choosing Fedex method for shipping the how Fedex will collect the shipment order from store and how they will communicate when order successfully delivered.
Please guide me on this.

Hello Rajni,

If you enter correct detail of your card then it will automatically paid.

If you have correct configuration on fedex plugin then fedex plugin have api implemented it will give live rates for shipping.

Then you have to get some third party connector(plugin) like shipstation, shiprocket etc. They are responsible to send order detail to shipping providers.

If you use the credit card manual, then you will need to manually Mark Paid pending orders.  You need to use a payment method like Authorize.net, Square, PayPal, etc. to have the payment automatically accepted and the order automatically mark paid.  You will need a merchant account set up to have funds transfer from e.g. Authorize.net to your bank account.

The shipping plugins are "rate calculators".  You still need to pack your boxes, set up a shipment with the carrier (e.g. FedEx, UPS), etc.
