I had version 4.0 hosted with no issues then 4.1 came out and i decided to try it, after doing an fresh installation performance is very very bad load times anywhere from 20 to 40 seconds.
I had no such problem with 4.0, i spoke with hosting support they told me that its an memory issue and that i need 768 mb of ram, i asked them to upgrade the memory but it did not change anything at all.
I tried to disable Scheduled tasks to see if this makes any difference, nothing changed.
Sometimes site will work fine for a couple of seconds and then suddently an simple action that usually should take 400ms or 500ms takes 35 seconds.
There is no errors in the log.
What could be the cause? how can i diagnose it?

Hello. We conducted a large research on the increased memory consumption of the new version of the nopCommerce, but all tests showed that only the allocation of memory increased, not of its using, then we performed a comparative analysis and found that for any application written for the Net.Core 2.x version, at least 4 times more memory is allocated than to a same application written under the .net framefork 4.6.1. As for performance, we did not find any problems, on the contrary, our tests show performance growth in comparison with nopCommerce version 4.0

That's cool but fresh installation still has random hangups of even 20-40seconds for me on two seperate hostings where the second one had 2 gb of memory and even tho the problems there are smaller performance is still way worse than version 4.0 hosted elsewhere with much less memory available.

So hosting will be much more expensive if you want to host the 4.1 edition compared to the 4.0
