Tiered Pricing on Overall Quantity?

I'm using 4.1. Is there a way to set tiered pricing so it works on the overall quantity of an item? For example, I have a pen that comes in 4 colors: Red, Blue, Yellow & Green. When I set the product attribute for color everything works fine as long as you select a high enough number to trigger tiered pricing for each color.

But if the tiered pricing is 10 and you select 5 red and 5 blue, the tiered pricing doesn't work. Is there a work around for this?

Hi Jim,

Yes there is a way for fulfill your requirement without customization.

There is setting, by default it's value is "False", you just need to make "True" it and it'll work like charm.

Go to
Admin > Configuration > Setting > All setting

And find setting name  "shoppingcartsettings.grouptierpricesfordistinctshoppingcartitems"

and set that setting False to True.


shoppingcartsettings.grouptierpricesfordistinctshoppingcartitems => True


This will apply tier price on total quantity of product different attributes.
