Product addons

How would I have a product that is a painting (art on canvas) for sale and have it available in 3 versions: no frame, white frame or black frame.

There is only one painting available but of course there is no limit to how many frames are available.

Currently I added the frames as attributes and that doesn't work because one person can buy one painting without a frame and someone else will be able to buy one with a frame, realistically there is only one painting, so this should not be allowed.
