sending confirmation email before payment has been made

As a hospital gift shop business owner my customer and I are both receiving confirmation emails before any payment has processed. If the customer chooses to cancel their order the email has already went through and I'm delivering items to our patients. Our customers are getting stumped when it says to use Paypal so they dont complete the order. How do I get it to not send an email until payment has processed?

You can turn off the order placed message being sent to the store owner / customer

In Admin goto Content Management -> Message templates
yourwebsite.com/Admin/MessageTemplate/List

Find and edit OrderPlaced.StoreOwnerNotification -> make it not active

But if you turn off the OrderPlaced.CustomerNotification then they wont know they corrrectly placed and order

I don't want it shut off I just want it to send after the order truly is complete. If they hit the back button it sends a confirmation and that is not true.

When the order is complete they get messsage OrderCompleted.StoreOwnerNotification
So you want them to get two emails after thye order is completed ??
If so you need to customise the code
