HomepageProducts was not found on controller Nop.Web.Controllers.CatalogController

I went through the steps on upgrading from 3.3 to 3.9. The site loads with the default theme, but when switching to custom theme, I get the error page.

I am not real advanced in this troubleshooting and coding, so I could use some help.

Yes you will need to upgrade the Theme or get an upgraded theme for 3.9 as well

Thank you for the reply. I assume its not as easy as just updating the index, but it would have to be every reference in the theme? Would you recommend just finding a new updated theme?
