Hello nopCommerce Community,
I am in the midst of a project where I need to have Vendors purchase a subscription in order to post products (almost like coupons) to our site. This flow is something like this.

1.) Vendor goes to our site and selects a subscription plan to enroll in.  The subscriptions are basically allowances for how many coupons they can publish per month. For example, a 10 pack, 25 pack, 50 Pack, and Unlimited. I am setting these subscriptions up as recurring products and using the price of "Telecommunications, broadcasting and electronic services" (although I'm not sure what that does)

2.) During the subscription checkout, the Vendor goes through the registration process. I plan to have it setup where they are automatically given a Vendor role based on the subscription they select.

3.) Once they are registered, they will have access to the "Vendor Portal" which looks to be nopCommerce out of the box functionality where they go into the nopCommerce Admin area and get access to the following: Dashboard; Catalog; Sales; Reports; Help.

4.) I want the Vendors to be able to create their own products/coupons which will then show on our site.  When users visit the site, they can then search or filter based on the product/coupon attributes (for example, coupon available dates, zip code, etc..).

5.) Reporting wise, I would also like to show more analytics to the Vendors that what is available under the reports now. Not sure how that's possible.

6.) Also would like to capture data on the customers that select Vendor coupons, etc but don't see that as an option.

I would really enjoy getting some perspective on how best to approach this Steps 1-4 are my biggest priorities for now.  I seem to be ale to do the 1-3 ok but not sure how to ultimately display/make available the Vendor products and services on our sites.

Thanks for the help!

I guess most of what you want is already available in nopCommerce, except for a few features which will require customization:
- To automatically add a vendor when he subscribes. There is the option to assign a customer a role when he buys a product (subscription).
- To limit the number of coupons/products he can publish per month.
There are several plugins for enhancing vendors features and others for extending reporting
In case of (6), as a store owner you get all the information of customers who register and their orders in the store and you can request more customer form fields at registration by setting  customer attributes.
I hope this helps

Hi Eduardo,
I appreciate the reply back. The part I seem to be missing is getting the vendors products to display on the site.  I can't see to figure this part out, maybe I'm not exposing the right page.  For example, I want there to be a top level menu that brings visitors to the list of products that the vendors post. For some reason, I can't seem to get this going.  Any advice?

Thanks!

Vendor get limited access to the administration for managing (create and edit)  their products, reviews and orders. See documentation, Access Control List and Vendors settings

Hi Eduardo,
yes, I see the limited access.  That said, is there a specific page that needs to be exposed to see the directory of Vendor products?

Thanks!

This is old, but I think still applies...

No, in the store customers can see all products from all vendors. Vendors in admin can only add/edit their own products, orders and reviews.

Thanks...can you remind me what the main product listing page is?  For whatever reason, can't seem to locate.
