Email system not working

Hi guys,

I have two identical Nopcommcerce 4.0 websites (let's call them website A and B) with identical databases, running on the same hosting platform (let's call it hosting platform A) but registered under different domain names. For website A, the email system works fine (I can get email notifications when I place an order) but when I try to place an order with the website B, I do not get email notifications even though the email settings are identical. It is worth mentioning that the domain name of website B is in the process of being transferred from another hosting platform (let's call it hosting platform B) to hosting platform A. What could be the problem and I how can I solve it? Please help.

Can you check the log on website B from administration (Admin > System > Log) and see if there are any errors?

If settings are working on website A, the issue is probably with the Site B's configuration.

Hi Anshul,

I checked the log on website B but there are no errors. Website B is actually a copy of Website A and the configurations are the same. Anything else I should try out?

So is the Sent On column empty for those emails?

I think your old hosting is not able to connect to your email server. Test by creating enabling email services on your hosting B and creating a mail account there. Then try those settings if those work.

That may help to know if that's indeed the case.
