I had a company design our site on nop. and it was our intention for me to be able to make changes as the end user. I'm not a developer, but am able to do things here and there with some time.
I would like to use the blog feature and can't seem to find any help on this. I created a test blog, went through all the settings as the help section shows, I added (via content/topic at bottom of page) a blog section, but where I'm stuck is getting the blog post to link to the topic at the bottom of the page.
Asking my developer is likely going to cost me $50-100, so I am trying to solve on my own. I find that Nop is not so helpful for end users, but for developers :(
I found you in an old post about blog, so I thought I'd reach out.

Not sure what you mean. Did you Enable the blog in the settings? If so, you should see Blog link in the footer (unless you have custom theme without it)
If you are trying to put a link to a specific blog page in some other topic, then you should be able to just put the link in there - for example, the seo-friendly blog link: http://demo.nopcommerce.com/why-your-online-store-needs-a-wish-list
