Hi,

we were forced to move from A2 hosting due to recent problems they have and we are trying out TMDhosting. We tried to set up Nopcommerce 4.1 but ran into an error stating:

"It was not possible to find any compatible framework version
The specified framework 'Microsoft.NETCore.App', version '2.1.0' was not found.
Check application dependencies and target a framework version installed at:
\
Alternatively, install the framework version '2.1.0'."

They have a NET.Core version 4.6.2 and we contacted support but have not heard from them yet. Do you think we will be able to run Nopcommerce there or we should look for another hosting provider?

Also any suggestion on best hosting options for up to 5 NopCommerce sites? I believe all he online search results for one are paid advertisements :)

Thank you!

Hello,

As far as I know, the 4.6.2 version is .Net Framework and not .Net Core. It seems your hosting provider doesn't support .Net Core 2.1 needed to run nopCommerce 4.1

Note:
You can check out this article to see that 4.6.2 is actually .Net Framework.
And you can see the requirements for nopCommerce 4.1 here.

Hope that helps!

Regards,
Anton

Yes, you must find a host that supports .net Core 2.1 and over.

NopCommerce 4.20 is coming and runs under core 2.2, so, find a good host now.

I definitely recommend PeoplesHost because the pricing is good and their service is excellent. We have been with them for over 2 years hosting over 40 sites and are extremely happy. They not only have very fast response times (less than an hour if not minutes) for our service requests, but also continuously monitor our sites and inform us of possible problems. They include daily backups. Additionally they have free Install & Setup or free migration from your previous hosting provider.

Some of our shops are under v4.10 and have no problems

We have moved several nop sites to Winserve since the A2 issues.
We host in the UK and they have been amazing. We just uploaded a zip of our files and db and they set it all up for us. We are running older nop and some 4.1 versions and all work without issue there.

They only allow 1GB databases. Useless for many people!
I would never trust a company that used premium rate numbers: Tel: 08432 894 425.
Yema Ltd.

Look at their accounts for June 2018. Total assets £180.

My database is already 4GB. I am quite surprised. I do not have many products.

Am I correct that images are stored in the database by default? What happens if this is changed?
Does the system automatically remove images from the database and stores copies outside in a directory, or do existing products use images stored in the database and new products outside?

I cannot check as A2 database server went down again! At least I found out there are databases. But I simply cannot get download backup dumps. They always fail. Now the server is down again.
