When deploying Nop commerce using web deploy to Azure, even though nothing has changed in any source file and after a successful release build, the subsequent publish step takes a significant time and runs through many 10000's of steps. When watching the build output, it's apparent that many (all?) of the files under Nop.Web\obj\Release\netcoreapp2.1 \PubTmp are being deleted including many (all?) unchanged files. The same is true of many jpeg and other files under wwroot. So far I've tried the following 2 things with no success:
1) under Publish/Settings I've made sure that "Remove additional files at destination" is unchecked.
2) I use GIT, and so I've made sure that in the Publish XML file .pubxml that I've added a comparison based on checksum rather than date so that updated file dates with no actual changes don't trigger a copy.
I'm not spotting a setting that would govern this-- anyone know of something else to try to prevent all of this unnecessary deleting and rebuilding?
