Actually this is a numerous complaints from our customers saying that when they try to place an order, they said the site crashes but the order went in successfully, I can't seem to find it in the logs. The message template "OrderPlaced.StoreOwnerNotification" was queued successfully but the "OrderPaid.CustomerNotification" was not created.

"OrderPaid.CustomerNotification" by default is inactive, so probably it's the reason why your store didn't create it.

Its difficult to find solution without testing site. can you please test this website in visual studio(debug mode) with live database so you can confirm that where is issue.
