Here is my question again. Somebody responded to it but before I got to it the site went down and it was lost. Sooo, I'm asking again hoping that the person will see it again.
Is there an easy way to have multiple storefronts running off the same DB?
store.abc.com sells pet supplies - and - store.xyz.com sales widgets both using the same DB
Or maybe a way to have just a single shopping cart from multiple sites?
store.abc.com and store.xyz.com "add to cart" puts item in www.MyGenericCart.com for a single ssl site check out.
Or maybe store.abc.com and store.xyz.com uses abc.MyGenericCart.com and xyz.MyGenericCart.com for payment processing.
I have a small hosting company that has recently been approached about hosting several commerce sites. I would like to be able to offer an economical commerce solution so they don't have to pay for a ssl cert for each site. I'd also like to cut down on the number of individual databases running on the server as well.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
