Upload my customised NOP to Azure

It is very easy to create a NOP site from Azure gallery.

Now it is time to upload my own customized NOP to Azure via FTP.

If my NOP is uploaded to Azure and the existing NOP is overwritten with my one, does it still work? How about database connection string etc? Is there any manuals how to do it?

I found it from upgrade document. I need to keep two files. settings and InstalledPlugins files.
