Should a product that's set to recurring also create a new order when it recurs?

Subject says it all - on nopCommerce 1.5 I set a product to recurring with a 7 day cycle and it charged my bank account as I expected it would but it did not enter in an order - how am I supposed to know to ship the item if it doesn't enter an order?

I am moving to nopCommerce 3.1 soon so if this was a bug and is now fixed please let me know that too

Whoops I meant nopCommerce 2.50

any ideas about why I don't have an order in the system or should there be an order or ????
