Upgrade from 2.5 to 3.7

In reading it indicates you have to upgrade in steps.  From 2.5 to 3.7 is quite a few steps. Can I install 3.7 just I was using it for the very first time?  How would I get my data from the 2.5 version to the 3.7 version?

Probably you can directly use the latest libraries. For database, you just need to execute the upgradescript from version 2.6 til 3.7, you can download the upgradescripts in this page https://github.com/nopSolutions/nopCommerce/releases/ from 2.6 to 3.7.
