Promotions > Discounts (Discount Type = Assigned to products) Not Working?

Using NopCommerce 3.70.

I created a new discount with the following steps:

Selected [Discount Type] = Assigned to products.

Checked [Use percentage] and entered 10 in the [Discount percentage] box.

Selected/saved the product in the Apply to Products tab.

Saved the discount.

Verified the discount was mapped to the product by viewing the Discounts tab in the Edit Product Details.  The discount is displayed and checked.

Browsed to the product detail page and the product price is not discounted.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or I am misunderstanding how it works.

I've tested this both on my implementation and on http://demo.nopcommerce.com/.  Both do not apply the discount percentage.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike,

It works fine out of the box. Please share screenshots of how you configured it (discount details page, products tab). Also ensure that admin area > configuration > catalog settings > ignore discounts setting is not enabled

Your settings tip fixed it.  The catalogsettings.ignorediscounts was set to True.  I wasn't aware of that setting.

Also, thanks for letting me know about the public and admin demo sites not being linked.  I poorly assumed they were.
