Batch update - You get the success message even if no products are updated

In Bulk Edit Products

You get the  success message     'All product variants have been successfully updated.'  

when you click 'update selected'      -    even if you did not successfully update anything

If the user fails to click the checkboxes for the edited products, the page flickers and you get the success message but
the products will not be updated - easily to confuse the user


I don't think it is obvious enough to the end user that the checkbox for the product has to be checked before clicking 'update selected'

I think there should be some text to indicate that the boxes must be checked (and an alert if 'update selected ' is clicked without checking the boxes)
