Shipping Surcharges

We currently offer one shipping method. This is by weight and has several charge bands depending on product weight. This method is for UK shipping only and to all post codes.

We want to add a shipping surcharge to a small selection of post codes. This will be on top of the current charge.

What is the best way to set this up?

If you are using "Shipping By Weight", then you would add additional records for those specific post codes.

The shipping by weight plugin doesn't really work for typical UK postage setups because it matches on the entire zip code (what we'd call a postcode) which is a very specific geographical area in the UK (anywhere from 1 -100 houses typically) so you end up having to potentially setup thousands of records (and keep them up to date as new postcodes are added).
