[NOP 4.0] Azure hosting - page "down" An error occurred while starting the application.

Maybe someone can help me. Give a some tips how to try found, a reason why our page "stoped work"... i'm afraid this is without schem… (different time, situations… sometimes work fine half a week, somethimes page crash down 4-5 times per day… Before upgrade 3.7 > 4.0 we don't have any problems...

1. nopCommerce version (4.0)
2. Expected behawior - page work fine... 100% of time, or 99,99 %...
3. Actual behawior: page in random situations going down and stop works. When someone want open our page, see information:

An error occurred while starting the application.
.NET Framework 4.7.3130.0 X86 v4.0.0.0    |   Microsoft.AspNetCore.Hosting version 2.0.0-rtm-26452    |    Microsoft Windows 10.0.14393

To repair this, we need to make server restart... sometime few times until it start working...

4. Steps to reproduce the problem (we don't know… it's random... maybe some tips to record a reason?)
5. Any private modifications you made to your nopCommerce (we have nop-templates plugins / theme (element) and some from FoxNet).

6. When we make upgrade form 3.7 > 4.0 some plugins show problem with missing tables... we fixed it by uninstall and install again plugin... maybe something with this?

7. Our hosting is on Microsoft Azure…

8. It's sooo problematic, 3.7 was incredible stable... after update to 4.0, we start have this error... maybe someone know solution for this?

Maybe this help: Before page go down... we have in nopcommerce logs:

Same issue here. Our Nopcommerce portal v4.0 hosted on Azure keeps on going down without any reason. Similar to others who mentioned it above, it is all 50x errors.

Last week we has only one similar event... but this week, few times per day... so it's a crappy, a and normal ecommerce can't work on that... :/

We have the same issue with NOPCommerce 4.0 and Microsoft Azure Hosting. Microsoft have been very helpful but we are not sure yet how to fix this issue. I have Nop Commerce v3.8 hosted on a Azure and this has been live on azure for Months without a glitch.

One possible issue is the “keep alive” schedule task or other scheduled tasks. We have now disabled ALL scheduled tasks except the email one. After this change, we are still getting random crashes of the application - but a lot less than before -  with exactly the same errors as the first post. The only way to fix it is to stop the application for 20-30 seconds or so and then start again in Azure App service. It doesn’t always work the first time so we could end up with downtime of more than 15-20 minutes and also means we have to do this sometimes in weekends or late at night if it happens.

I think the fantastic NopCommerce team must look at this issue as a matter of urgency because it may give the platform a bad name and end up many people moving away from it.

Hi! same here. We change in all schedule task "times" to exclude possibility "to make few in a same time". I was thinking that's help, and we had a less crash down, but last week we again was a lot's errors... well i think it's not that. Last week I uninstalled all not used plugins... yesterday few more, which we don't have in 3.7... maybe that help...

Why ths is important for us? After upgrade to nop 4.0 we have 30-40% more clients on page, but clients make about 20-30% less orders than before upgrade (year to year)... We stop growing, and start falling... so for our business is to be life or dead ;/

Problem with nopcommerce/azure, and the our page is, it not always go down and azure send alert, sometimes start work "so incredible slow" (sometimes send nothing, but clients call to us, why our page don't work... or work so slow/bad :/). I think lot's of them, just go away and don't losing time...

I write to you guys PM and ask you about plugins... maybe it's not nopcommerce problem, but plugins we use... or maybe somebody write to us how better record logs / to find a reason why our pages going down, when others works well(or not?). That's why write here.

Has anybody had success with solving this problem? My client is having the exact same issue.

its not on only Azure but other web hosting platforms as well. This is a critical issue to address, still looking toward NopCommerce to get a solution.

Has anybody had success with solving this problem? My client is having the exact same issue.
