I am getting error while creating a database

An error occured: Line 8: Incorrect syntax near '('.

Are you running the latest version of the scripts (1.10)

I presume you have the necessary permissions on your database? Are you running the scripts using SQL Server Management Studio? Have changed the context to your NopCommerce database when running the scripts?
