Can't Change Default.aspx Page

I just downloaded nopCommerce and wanted to start altering the default.aspx page.  I can't do so.  None of the controls respond to the mouse clicks.

I tried to remove the read-only attributes for files in the entire project, but when I do it just reverts back to showing many of them as still read-only.

What gives?

Please verify that you have modify rights on the individual files (right click in windows, properties, and click security tab). Another test is to try creating a text document in the nopCommerce directory. Then open the document and try and modify. Then close and try and delete.
