VAT does not show in basket

I need invoices to show net price then the vat then the grand total, just can't work out how to

They just show Tax - £0 on invoices

does not work, tried that. I've done it as 20% for uk, on this part: Manual (Fixed or By Country/State/Zip), called it Retail Online and set as 20

I done something! It shows the vat on the invoice but as a total for example it says:
Sub-total £9.14 inc vat
Shipping £6 including Vat
Vat 20% £2.52
Order Total £15.14
So the vat is showing but now looks like I need to add wording to Vat 20% to say something like (Total Vat of this transaction) so they don't think it needs adding?
