Nopcommerce 4.2 does not display The product has been added to your shopping cart in IE 11.0

The product has been added to your shopping cart - message does not display.

Anyone have a fix for the issue im finding when testing in Internet explorer 11 - the issue is that the
message "The product has been added to your shopping cart" is not shown when a customer adds an item to their shoping cart.
so the customer thinks the site is not working.
any ideas or fixes out there?

Yes, I see the same happens using IE 11 in the demo store.  Here's the error message I see in F12 console:

SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'append'
jzx8naiwvgyynr8j7d9lra5ck3rd_iz-stboz6rp9wa.min.js (2,1947)

(Works OK in Edge ;)
