I've just taken the plunge and upgraded from 1.8 to 2.5. I just wanted to say thanks for all of the work thats gone into the system - especially impressed with the mobile version option!
No, it was pretty painless, although it did take a while, you need to upgrade the DB version by version until you hit 2.5. Make sure you read the read-me files as well. There are a few posts on here about the steps to follow as well.
