Hello,
I have just installed nopCommerce 1.40. All seems to work fine... Except that, even if I can see the foum, it seems that there are no way to add a new post?
Below is the configuration which is straight forward:
Forums enabled:
Show customers post count: X
Allow customers to edit posts: X
Allow customers to delete posts: O
Topics page size: 10
Posts page size: 10
Forum editor: Simple BBCode Editor HTML Editor
Signature enabled: X

This didn't work out for me.
I created one forum and one forumgroup in admin, but when I went to the public Store I could'nt add any post.
It shows just two bars, representing the forum and forum group.
No buttons like "reply" or "Submit". Not even the forum description. Just bars,links and headlines.
For your information:
I upgraded from 1.3 to 1.4 this worked out, just fine, without any errors.
So I belive its not an upgrade issue.
Is there anybody who can give a hint on how to get this to work.

Shit behind the stearing wheel =)
I didn't know that i had to create the forum group first.
This is the result of dockumentation lack.
So for any other people who want to create a forum follow these instructions.
First of all. Don't use the email user option for the login, because the user name is used in the forum topic part.
When the user has long emailadresses, these adresses will interfere with the topic text.
1.) Go to admin ->Forums->forumsettings and make your settings
2.) In admin ->Forums->Forums-> "Add new forum group" in the namefiel add ex: "nopDocumentation"
and save it.
3.) Now click (back to forum group list) and click "Add new forum".
4.)In the forum group dropdown list, choose your first created forumgroup "nopDocumentation"
and in the Name text field add ex: "How to export data from nopCommerce"
5.) Click the save button and go to the Public Store and look at your newly created forum.
