The use of Available start/end dates

How can I use "Available start date" and "Available end date" at the product variant page?
I tried to put the dates, but it getting empty after saving.
I want to use it to create "Coming soon products" control.

How can we put "Coming Soon" on the product.

Available start/end date is used to show product only in entered date ranges. Before and after them, product will be unpublished.
