EMail not working

I understand,it may be something to do with my email configuration, but how come it working fine with my email client Outlook. I am using the same username, password, SMTP server and SMTP port, there it seems to be working fine but not when configured with nopCommerce. Is anything that I do to make sure that configuration is correct at nopCommerce level.

i think first you need to make sure that password in saved on EmailAccount table and you have mark that email account as default account for nop level.

i am not sure about your outlook smtp settings

I am using the same SMTP server configuration which is working perfectly fine with Outlook, however when I use the same with nopCommerce it doesn't works. It simply always says "Failure sending email"

Any help would be much appreciated.

can you send the your SMTP detail that you are using like port,protocol,SSL etc??

I am trying with gmail also but no luck....

email acc setting for gmail acc given below

Store Admin Email: [email protected]
Store Admin Email Display Name: STORENAME OR Any name
Host:  smtp.gmail.com
Port:  587
User:  [email protected]
Password:   PasswordOfGmailAccount
Enable SSL:  Yes [Check Mark]
Use default credentials: DO NO CHECK , LEAVE IT UN-CHECKED

any problems with this configuration, I am still not able to make it work.....just wondering why ?

have you tried to use port 465 with Enable SSL:  Yes [Check Mark] ??

as i notice when using SSL it require port 465

also tried to don't use SSL and use the port 587

I am using the following details

Email address - [email protected]
SMTP server - smtpout.secureserver.net
Port - 587


Same configuration works well with outlook, but not here.....

Ok, I may take it that there could be some problem with my email server using GoDaddy hosting, but why it is not working with gmail. I have used the correct settings, port etc, but still says "Failure sending email" is there anything that I can check. Kindly assist.

Also, I was going thru the logs and found these kind of entries in the log.

The level of log entry.Log level:  Error
The log entry message.Short message:  Request timed out.
The details for the log entry.Full message:  System.Web.HttpException (0x80004005): Request timed out.
IP address of the machine that caused the exception.IP address:  188.40.120.19
Name of the customer who caused the exception.Customer:  Guest
Originating page of exception.Page URL:  http://www.bigsmile.co.in/biker-blue
The referrer URL.Referrer URL:  
Date/Time the log entry was created.Created on:  9/14/2015 5:13:07 AM

What does this mean, is it something that the customer is facing problems why browsing the website.

Hello Everyone.
I am having the same issue.
email configuration is perfect.
Test email send - no problem. I am receiving the test email in 2 seconds.

Problem is.. Message queue is not served. says 0 attempts made.
and the queue is sitting for ever and never getting served.

tried checking the message templete,
sending test email from templete sits in the queue and not getting served as well.

Please post any suggestion if anyone knows the solution for this.
