Gift Registry

I had this request from a customer a few years ago. He was looking for a baby giftlist ecommerce solution that has the following core functions:
- Create lists with all necessary and nice-to-have items by parents
- Option for parents to do a downpayment
- Option for parents to 'order' the things they need to have available before the baby 'arrives'
- Have visitors buy products, either to be sent to the visitor or directly to the new parents
- Visitors can also give a gift coupon
- Create stock lists, invoices, back-order lists, etc.
- Work with affiliates and/or stores

After investigating nopCommerce, we decided to start from scratch. Most imporantly, because the customer had all kinds of wishes coming in near future and we had to be sure we could address these new wishes.

So, we have a complete solution ready. If anyone is interested, I will be happy to help out or ask the customer if he is willing to sell/license the solution.

So you started from scratch building a new module in nopcommerce that supports baby gift registry or a new web application from scratch?

No, didn't use nopCommerce. The customer had too much demands and wishes that would need rewriting of 80% of nop.
That's why we created it from scratch.
