Hi,

We've prepared the roadmap of the next version of nopCommerce (3.90). Here are some of the most interesting ones:

- Further enhancements of admin area (simplified and configurable)
- Auction support
- Prices per currency. I know this task was postponed so many times. But I hope it'll be finally finished this year
- Please find all existing work items for this version here (about 250 items).

ASP.NET Core 1.0 was just released several months ago. And we think that it's NOT mature enough to be used in production yet. So we decided to stay with ASP.NET 4.6 in the next version of nopCommerce - 3.90. And only then start moving to ASP.NET Core (in version 4.00).

Your thoughts and suggestions are more than welcome!

Estimate release time - March 2017 (7-8 months)

What about the Umbraco Integration?

It's not related (almost not related) to a specific nopCommerce version (3.70 or 3.80). And we already work on it

Thanks for reviewing the new .NET Core -  I'm interested in the new hosting possibilies and the new development tools - but as the blog post here suggests: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/ASPNET5IsDeadIntroducingASPNETCore10AndNETCore10.aspx : ".NET Core isn't as complete as the full .NET Framework 4.6. We're still exploring gaps between ASP.NET 4.6 and ASP.NET Core 1.0." - so it may be some time until it's ready for nopCommerce.

so, in the mean-time, do we know what the advantages would be for using ASP.NET Core 1.0 for nopCommerce other than keeping up with microsoft developments? It's interesting that nopCommerce 2.65 runs on .NET 4.0 and that the plugins are mostly compatible if recompiled  - it is possible to recompile nopCommerce 3.70 to run on .NET 4.0 so a good question would be "Is it important to the nopCommerce team that any .NET Core version of nopCommerce would still compile to the older frameworks? - or would it be a one-way upgrade this time?" It maybe be too early to tell still...

thanks,

Will you include better ACL support in this version? I mean, better permission configuration, not so global like it is. Each button or action has its own ACL control.

Is this request on your roadmap?

Thanks.
