First run of schedule task

When does schedule task run first time ? When app pool is restarted ?

I'm not sure.

But nopcommerce says,

Do not forget to restart the application once a task has been modified.


So when you restart application after your task is run.

4.0 - task run over http request.

< 4.0 - task run in background.

I'm using 3.8
I've cheched it. Tasks will be run when IIS will recieve first request.
But application should be in release mode.
