Tool for highlighting changes: upgrading 3.9 to 4.0

We are contemplating upgrading from 3.9 to 4.0 but heh guide says its a 'huge' change which makes it sound daunting.
Is there a way we can run a scan to analyse our 3.9 installation/code beforehand and see what the likely upgrade errors/complications will be prior to engaging with professionals to upgrade it.
