Affiliate timeout period

Hi,

I could not find much information on the internet about the amount of time that an affiliate customer who visits the can will still be valid, an example is a customer, guest or registered user is directed from an affiliates website to my website and makes a purchase, what happens if they come back 20 days later direct to the site, is there a time limit and if so can this be changed and where?

In nopCommerce, when a customer comes from an affiliate's site, affiliate id is mapped with that customer. It will be changed automatically only when that customer comes from another affiliate's site. Otherwise admin has to change manually from admin panel.

Thank you, very much, so there is no timeout, it's permanent unless changed manually or the customer is redirected from another affiliate site?

Yes,  "...Once a customer is assigned an affiliate ID, every order they place is also tagged with that ID."
