The "Send emails" scheduled task failed with the "One or more errors occurred

Found a couple forum posts similar to this, but the suggested fixes didn't work. When connecting to our site it shows to have an SSL connection.

Running NOP 4.20

Here are a few things I've already checked:
Cleared site cache and restarted application
Checked store name
Checked store and URL
Checked SSL was enabled

We have got the same problem with 4.2 Version. The site doesn't send any email .

In the Log is written:
The "Send emails" scheduled task failed with the "One or more errors occurred. (No such host is known)" error (Task type: "Nop.Services.Messages.QueuedMessagesSendTask, Nop.Services". Store name: "hobbystore.xapp.cloud". Task run address: "http://hobbystore.xapp.cloudscheduletask/runtask")

We can send the emails only when we push the buttom "run now" in the Schedule Task. Anyone fox this?

I responded in the other thread linked above, but I'll respond here as well. Ours ended up being a simple fix and was depended on how our environment is setup.

We are self hosting our website at our office. Let's say our website is "www.website.com".

Our ISP provided router does not allow Loopback. Inside the office, we cannot access "www.website.com". Since we are a small office, we modified the "hosts" file on everyone's computer so "www.website.com" would resolve to the internal IP address of the server / computer the site is hosted on.

However, we did NOT do this on the server hosting the site itself. We modified the "hosts" file, so the address of the server / computer the site is hosted on would resolve to the internal IP address of the server.

This solved our problem.

There's a bug in NC4.2.
Look closely at the URL and you will see it munges the domain name with "scheduledtask"
Task run address: "http://www.mywebsite.comscheduletask/runtask").
NOTE the missing forward slash!
I've tried putting in a forward slash onto the domain name, but that doesn't work, either.

You have to restart the website completely after adding a forward slash to the store domain name:
So, instead of: http://mywebsite.com
make it: http://mywebsite.com/
then re-start (resetting the cache won't do it)

So, not really a bug.

I am experiencing this issue with nopCommerce 4.30 on an Interserver.net hosted website that uses a Let's Encrypt certificate. None of the Scheduled Tasks will execute automatically with all resulting in an error message like the one below . The pertinent line seems to be "The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure."

Not sure if this is significant, but I did notice in the error message that the "Task run" address is "https://mysite.com/scheduletask/runtask" whereas when I run any task manually (in this case "Send emails") the request URL in my browser show https://mysite.com/Admin/ScheduleTask/RunNow/1. Note the addition of /Admin and the "Send emails" task ID of 1.

I've tried all permutations under Configuration > Stores. Adding/removing "www" from Store Name, Using http and https in store URL, checking unchecking SSL Enabled but nothing seems to work.  

Note that all tasks except "Keep Alive" run manually just fine which begs the question "What is different between the auto and manual procedures and why does Keep Alive always fail?"
