Stored Product Picture outside of database

can i stored product picture on Hosting disk space rather then database disk space ?
i see in this article it's better for faster loading

i found the setting that changing stored picture place (database/files) but after changing that option to files stored. the all picture for theme and product don't show.
how i can fix this ?

Did you resolve? Which nop version? WIndows or Linux? how many products? 100's, 1000's ?

Images should begin to appear under wwwroot/images/  and also thumbs in different sizes /wwwroot/images/thumbs

i use 4.2 ver and yes the picture and thumbes in correct place under www folder
product qty around 500
please tell what can i do
