We currently have our store up and running with nop 4.3 everything is working fine for the most part. However the other day when our DB server went down momentarily it lost it's connection to the db and displayed the db connection lost error to anyone who visited the site.

My question is: Where can I set detailed error messages to log instead of displaying to the general user?

All error messages are displayed in the System Log

Or you can turn on Stdout logging or check the windows event logs
