Support for "low in" and "out of" stock

Hi guys,

From looking at the product configuration page in the admin, I have noted that there is a "Minimum stock qty" field which is essentially an out of stock quantity setting.

However, our team are integrating the idea of a "low stock quantity" per product but from my scanning of the product configuration page, I haven't found a suitable field.

Has anyone been able to come up with a solution for the above by any chance?

"Minimum stock qty" - deturmines an action when stock hits that level i.e Unpublish or Disable buy
"Notify for qty below" - sends a email message and there is a low stock report when Stock Quantity hits this level

Notify for qty below should normally be set above Minimum stock qty
