Slow site since redeploy from MyASP to Soft Sys Hosting

Hi everyone,

I've been caught out (again!) in the MyASP/Smarter ASP outage and have moved to SoftSys hosting on their Nopcommerce hosting which is is supposed to have the same resources as the old one.

Since copying the files exactly to the new host server and using the same database, the old site I've hosted here: www.cbauto.org  loads a page in around 2-3 seconds, where the new host www.cbauto.co.uk takes around 6-7 seconds.

Why is this when the site files and DB are exactly the same across both servers? Any ideas what could be slowing it off? Version is Nop 4.2 on both of them. Conversation with the hosting supplier mentioned:

"it seems there is an issue with your root document and hence your website is taking time to load, you will need to optimize the code of your homepage."

Why would I need to optomise my code if that same code works perfectly well on the first host?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

SO, still going at it and making no progress.  I've got 2 versions of Nop deployed on the server

1) https://www.cbauto.co.uk/ a direct moving of site files from the old host via FTP and a new data base created and uploaded using the control panel. Running version 4.2

2) https://ecstatic-rubin.173-248-172-98.plesk.page/ (temp URL) a complete new deployment using 4.4 with a new DB. this site with 2 items is much faster and similar to the actual site used to run on SmarterASP/MyASP before they ruined it all.

Any ideas what needs to be done to make it faster?  Surely if the files are byte for byte exact as they're sent by filezilla, it should run exactly the same with the same resources available to it.

Thanks, Paul
