[NOP 4.40.04] Duplicate content on category pages? Maybe it's affected also 4.50?

Hi! i just found bug in nopcommerce.

We can open pages https://demo.nopcommerce.com/digital-downloads/ but also we can open https://demo.nopcommerce.com/digital-downloads without "/" So we have two 100% identical pages, with only one difference "/" in url. It's shouldn't possible.

We should have redirect to only one page (i think without "/")? now we have duplicated page. (i just check our analytics and we have 50% / 50% on same pages with only one difference where is "/".

It's possible problem is in all 4.40 version... but i see in my case problem it's when we upgrade nop to 4.40.04 + start use noptemplates ajax filters. I don't check it in 4.50 version.

it's one of the old discussed things but may be not resolved yet. can ignore by adding url rewrite on IIS https://www.nopcommerce.com/en/boards/topic/28746/url-trailing-slash-for-seo-purposes

Strange. Well it's possible we miss something, when upgrade nop to 4.40.04... because analytics show, problem is after this change. Earlier we propably fix this via IIS / other solution.

Just enable "Canonical URLs" in admin area > configuration > settings > general settings
