After Running a Lighthouse check on my home page, it suggests that I should change the large PNG's on my homepage to WebP Images, yet when I attempt to place these .WebP converted images into the backend of the website, it doesn't seem to want to accept this type of image. I was basically wondering if there is anything available to allow me to do this, without having to use extremely compressed PNG images as a compromise?

I am running version 3.40 currently on my site, and would love to start optimising the content to boost load times.

If you're happy making changes, you can use the ImageProcessor library: https://imageprocessor.org/

You can use this plugin. But it's support lower version of 4.00. You can contact with them for 3.40 version.

Oops, I mistyped, I'm running version 4.30, so I guess I'll take a look into it, thanks!

I was going to suggest that plugin, but with you saying you were on 3.40, I knew there wasn't a version, and he doesn't support lower than 4.00 anymore.
