Thanks for your reply, but I disagree that looking at comparing source code changes is easier than using Visual Studio's comparison extension tools.  If the changes are being made in the database then also record it in either a simple document (as before) or a version control tool.

We really need to know the changes as the effect could result in a website being unavailable.  This would mean a bad experience for the customer and a loss of sale for the host.
