Pay pal is asking which type of app is nopcommerce

Paypal is asking if the nopcommerce is a Merchant or a Platform
- Merchant: accept payments as a merchant/seller
- Platform- move payments to sellers as a platform (marketplace, crowdfunding, or 2-commerce platform)

I believe nopcommerce is a platform. RIght?

Since you are selling online, in your case you are applying for a PayPal Merchant account.
