Hi,
What if i upgraded the .Net framework only for the nopCommerce project. For example, Upgrade the Nop4.40 from .Net5 to .Net6 (without upgrading the source code), then compile the source code, resolve all issue. Does this will help to improve the performance?

Maybe a little (but then why not go to 4.70? ;). However, you would miss out on true performance improvements they made in architecture/code. Also, I'm not sure, but you may need to update all the projects, and if you use 3rd party plugins / themes, you risk incompatibilities that you won't be able to fix yourself.
