NationWide has grown steadily over 30 years to become national distributors for most big brands in the hospitality sector, as well as supplying products to an impressive list of medical wholesalers, retail outlets, corporate offices, and educational institutes. They are working with a variety of sectors with requirement for good quality, sustainable paper, hygiene, and janitorial products. They have enviable long-term supply arrangements with major global suppliers for all our products.

Objective

Nation Wide was looking for a technical partner who can help them to build a modern B2B eCommerce store with a design which resonates with their brand value. They wanted to implement some features & functionalities to fulfill the requirements of their business.

Challenges

  • Client wanted to build a B2B eCommerce store to supply its goods globally to the wholesalers, retail outlets etc.
  • They were looking for B2B features such as customer segmentation and pricing, Bulk discounts, Ability to Reorder Previously Purchased Products, Minimum Order Quantity and much more to make the platform perfect for their business model.
  • They were some very important features they wanted to have in their eCommerce platform -credit limits for their elite customers, dynamics shipping charges based on order total and location.

Solution

We opted nopCommerce as a choice of platform for this project due to its rich built-in features & functionality and because of its completeness and extensibility.

    • UI/UX Design- Our team designed and developed the website as per current trends with mobile friendly design for better user experience
    • Segmentation with Customer Groups and Profiles- As per their requirements we segmented the customers into various groups based on location, order frequency, order total which allows admin to set pricing, minimum order requirements and group-specific content (like promotions, shipping and payment options) for each segment
    • Customer Specific Pricing- Based on the customers segmentation we talked about before admin will be able to set different base prices for any product
    • Restricted Access- User will not be able to view the price of the product unless or until they will be registered or logged in Restricted Access
    • Credit Limits- Admin will be able to assign a specific credit limit to their elite customers. For example: There is a company who is a regular bulk buyer so admin will assign 50,000 bucks to them and they will be able to buy products up to 50,000 on credits without making actual payments
    • Dynamic Shipping Rates- We have set up automatic shipping cost calculation based on the location, order total.
    • Single-Page Checkout- We have used an in-house plugin to make the checkout process easy and hustle free with only a few checkout steps which saves user time and avoids cart abandonment.
    • Custom Wishlist- We have customized the default Wishlist functionality as per their business requirement.

Results

The site was launched successfully in Dec 2020. It provides client with eCommerce platform they were looking for and has successfully accommodated all the features & functionalities.
